It is structured to assess key symptoms associated with ADHD, such as inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity, the assessment process may involve various components, including clinical interview, behavioural observations, rating scales completed by both the patient and their caregivers or teachers, as well as psychological testing to assess cognitive functioning and attentional abilities. The purpose of the assessment is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the patient's symptoms, functioning, and impairments related to ADHD, leading to an accurate diagnosis. The assessment report typically includes detailed findings, diagnostic conclusions, recommendations for intervention and support, and strategies for managing symptoms.
